I bought an 85 caprice with the Edelbrock carburetor
an intake manifold vacuum line is loose that's near the distributor
anyone knows where it hooks up to?

The vacuum carbon canister was on that side of your Chevrolet. Is it possible that's where it goes? 1985 was a long time ago..

it is one on the right side...
if I happen to have a loose line there
should I hook it back up?
or it doesn't make a difference?

Leave it as is. That was ported vacuum for vacuum advance on a point distributor. You can get regular caps for that instead of a wooden plug.
