Chevy noob here- question about a '96 Caprice Classic sedan
Hey guys, i have found some great info so far looking at the board and hopefully can get some good info.
I am buying a '96 Caprice sedan with 116,000 miles which is pretty much in fantastic condition. Buying it for a grand. Just a back-up car i can tool around in on weekends. Only going to probably get 3,000 miles a year out of me. Not much at all.
ANYWAY, I'm rambling. My question is generally speaking, is this a reliable model? Good engine? Good tranny? Any common known issues? Stuff like that.
Any info is greatly appreciated guys. Thanks.

If you buy it , first thing , check and or change the fluids and / or filters .
Also , check the PVC valve & all the rubber hoses that are questionable .
Do not forget to check the vacuum hoses / lines .
Do not forget to check the battery & clamps / cables . And the tires .
God bless
