Exhaust 1978 caprice
Hi all,
I have just ordered a complete exhaust system via RockAuto.
It seems that i need some extra part to be able to fit the catalytic converter.
Original length of converter was 22 inch, the new converter is only 17 inch and does not have the little bend in it.
Walker suggest you need extra parts, but they don't say what extra parts, it looks like just a small pipe with a little bend would do the trick.
But the problem is i can not find this part.
Does anybody have any experience with this ?
Does anybody have any idea ?
There's always a DIY way of doing it, but i just want to try to see if there is an original "extra" part to get first, before i start altering the new parts.
Hoping on some reactions.
Greetings,
Alphons

If you know how to weld, I'd just recommend cutting and welding it all up on your own. As far as cat. goes you technically don't need one due to the age of your car, but I don't know how much you care for being green.
Good luck
