Default Fuel pump on a '91 Chevy Caprice

I was just wondering if there was an easier way to remove the in-tank fuel pump on a '91 Chevy Caprice other than dropping the tank?

not that I know of... I have a '93 and she needs a new fuel pump. As far as i know dropping the fuel tank is the only way. If you find out otherwise, it would be appreciated if you let me know

Thumbs up

That's the only way....I had a 91 myself....did it about 3 years ago. Once the tank is dow, no big deal!
Good luck!

Default Fuel pump

Yes, as me and my brother found out, you have to drop the tank. Make sure you have the right tool to take off the fuel lines-they are a PAIN otherwise. I'll try to attach a picture of what the ones we used looked like. They worked really well.
