ground issue

Could the governor going out be the problem also because i was using a speed app on my cell phone and the car went 104mph when the dash says it only does 80mph im just trying to get a clear idea of what it could be

Don't know about either, govenor or speed app. You should revisit when this happened, and what changed. I'd also suggest when you have an issue to post that up front, and not add an "oh by the way" after. Makes troubleshooting easier, and thus fastser.

Also visually check the wiring & the connector before you start throwing parts at it .
From the previous discussion , it runs OK with out the speed sensor plugged in ?
Have you visually inspected the wiring & connector to the instrument cluster ?
