2014 Chevy Captiva
So my Captiva 2014 had issues with the coil/spring in the ignition switch so it would get stuck and had to reach over to knock back the spring in order to remove my key just a mere nuisance to me but to my wife a major problem that needed to be fixed. So i went ahead ordered a new ignition switch, (only a ignition switch, not the cylinder), replaced the ignition switch, but using the old ignition cylinder. I go ahead to start the truck but it wont start. The lights come up, but that's it. I feel i only need to reprogram the key, but not 100% sure. I don't want drain my battery trying to reprogram a key if that isn't the issue.
