Default Key stuck

I have a 2012 captiva, when I got to work today the key would not come out of the ignition. It has never done this before. I can get the key about half way between lock and acc. At least I can still drive it. Anyone have any ideas

This may be my last GM suv/car, I've had nothing but problems with this suv since I bought it when it was 6mos old, so far 7 major problems and counting. I have had GM vehicles for the last 25 yrs, seems quality has really gone down.

Hello Pinkmarine,

We apologize for these concerns with your ignition key. This is truly unexpected and we would be happy to provide any additional assistance with this. Feel free to send us a private message along with your VIN, current mileage, contact information and a preferred dealership. Looking forward to hearing from you!
