I have a 2014 chevy captiva and my key keeps getting stuck in the ignition. This is happening every day now. I dont gave another car to drive. Yesterday it took me 1 hour to get the key out. It is very frustrated. I have to get to work early just so I can make sure the key will be released to clock in on time. Can someone please tell me what's the problem. Smh

 

1. Try putting some graphite lock lubricant in the slot or on the key..

2. Get another key and lock it up, if you can't get to work on time,

Is the shifter on the column (near the steering wheel) or on the center console?
