2013 Captiva Lt that has a squeaky noice coming from the center console behind the radio, unit control center. It changes at times like if you are switching from exterior air mode to interior circulation mode.

is there a fan motor behind that area? Is there a door that switches between interior / exterior air flow.

when I shut the a/c off the squeaky noice disappears, however, the flapping sounds sometime continuous.

Any help would be appreciated.

 

How many miles on the car?

it could be blower motor. It could also be your AC compressor belt. Go under your hood and find out.

 

the noise is coming from behind the radio area. I believe it might be one of the blend door actuator.
