Default 03 Cav stalls intermittely

This is odd. Stalls whenever it feels like. Changed the plugs, wires, power packs, crank sensor. Only thing the computer tells me is the mass airflow sensor (which I am told by the parts store is not on the car).
When it stalls, it gives no indication other then the loss of power & stiffer steering. Pop it in neutral & it will start again, but not always. Sometimes I coast to a stop & have to try a few times. But it starts again.
Can't trust the car to go 5 miles. 2.2 engine

Any advise?

On the "mass airflow sensor," what was the actual trouble code? Did you jot down the freeze frame data?

the pump is in the tank, dont cheap out on a fuel pump assy i did and became very good at pulling the tank out of the car,if you put the rear up on ramps disconnect the battery, fill and vent lines, electrical connector, unbolt the 2 straps and i would use a floor jack and let it slide out in front of the passenger rear wheel,my car stalled twice before the fuel pump finnally popped the fuse thats when i changed it out
