05 cavalier A/C button wont stay pushed/on
05 chevy cavalier.
To turn the A/C on you press a button, and an amber light turns on.
BUT whenever you press the button, it pops back out, light goes off...wont stay ON.
If you press and hold, the A/C works fine.
Any thoughts on what could cause this?

I haven't seen that particular botton mechanism but the ones I have seen acted like the 'clicker' on a ball point pen...i.e. one click in, one click out. You may just want to replace the button.
