Default 2000 cavalier rear door stuck closed

Out Side handle does not work
Inside handle and lock do not work

Took apart door panel from inside, sprayed it down with some lubricant and it made parts move smoother but no go on the latch itself.

I tried prying on a few things but nothing will budge. Anyone have any insight on this issue?

I have the same issue... I did find that my door is locked, when I pull the outside handle there is no tension, thus making me think it is locked and when I removed the inside panel I saw that the rods were bent and not working correctly.

How would I go about releasing this so I can unbolt the door. The front side by the hinges is not an issue, I can take those off easily, but I cannot figure out how to either release the lock or how to remove the part where the latch hooks onto...

Any advice would be appreciated...

If I had such an issue I'd take apart the other door to learn how this lock works.
