2000 Cavalier Won't Start

the only thing in the start circuit close to being a relay would be the starter solenoid; located on the starter motor itself. All the wiring goes to the solenoid.

Not necessary, after putting 200amps of power to the battery from a battery charger, the car still wouldn't crank over? I changed starter, ignition relay and finally swapped out the battery. Sure as ****, it was battery. Who'd have thought? I assumed the 200amp jump start would have done the trick but I guess you learn something new every day.

The battery probably has a shorted cell, so no matter what current you drive through you are feeding a short.

yep. learned that the hard way too.

And thats why it good to always bench test the old starter before the new one goes in.
