My 2002 cavalier keeps melting the drivers side headlight socket. I checked for bad wiring but found nothing. It always melts the center connector. This causes the light to be on but very dimm. Any ideas?? <edited><editID>snubber</editID><editDate>38657.8154976852</editDate></edited>

 

have you checked the power level to that socket?</P>

 

checked power with tester and its about 13v. I replaced the socket twice and they last about a month then i have to replace again
