Default Q: what socket size

I tried the search with no luck. My inlaw wants me to rotate his tires, before a go over i want to make sure i have the right tools. What socket size are the wheel lugnuts on a 07 Sliverado 1500HD? Also, do i need a deep socket?. The wheeel are the stock aluminium with ceter cap/black plastic lug caps.

Thanks
Frank

the truck should come with a tire jack and the lug wrench already...especially if it is an 07. check under the rear seat...

Mudderfan,

14mm? sounds small, my other GM cars use 19MM. I called a chevy dealer, and the service rep quickly responded it was 7/8 STD be fore he hung up. He didn't sound to knowledgable. Anyways i converted the 7/8 to metric and come up with 22MM. Does that sound right?

Thanks

Bring 19-22mm sockets and you'll be fine.

deep for sure, especially for enough room to swing a torq wrench, may even need a little extension
