2002 Cavalier jerks when braking
Hi i have a 2002 cavalier and it has just started jerking when i brake. It does it in both reverse and drive. It only does it for the first few times then it brakes just fine. Any ideas what is wrong?

earlywins,
Does your Cavalier also buck or pulsate occasionally under braking? From the symptom that you described it sounds like your rotors may be warped. Take your car to a reputable brake shop and have a skilled mechanic resurface them and the jerking phenomenon that you described should disappear. If not, then the rotors may have to be replaced. If you're on a strict budget (and who isn't these days? ) conduct a search online for inexpensive OEM Cavalier rotors and you'll get lots of results. I believe that gmpartsgiant.com is a solid discounted OEM parts outfit.
