Default 2002 Chevy Cavalier wont start

Hey guys I have a 2002 Chevy Cavalier that is my daily driver, went out to start it the other day and it wouldn't turn over, so i took my jeep instead, today I had my dad have a tow truck take it to the shop because we couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. I just got a call from the shop and they said after it got off the tow truck it started right up and has ever since, anyone have any ideas as to why this might have happened.

I checked the fuses for the starter etc.
I checked the connections to the starter
as well as i hit the side of the starter with a small rubber hammer,

thanks again for your help,

Welcome to the forum. When "it wouldn't turn over," did it make any noise at all, not even a single click?

The PNP switch may be going bad. It keeps the CRANK relay from getting energized by the current from the ignition switch in START unless the shift lever is in PARK or NEUTRAL. The tow truck operator had to have moved the shift lever while hitching and unhitching the vehicle which is why the shop couldn't reproduce the problem.
