2004 Cavalier Clicking from under dash
I have a 2004 Cavalier and there is a clicking coming from under the passanger side of the dash. the only time the clicking stops is if i put the climate control on recirculate. It even clicks when fan is turned to off. I've looked around online and the only thing i find about it is the fan blower motor but i dont know how to take the cover off to even look at it.....Please help its really annoying
Does it get worse when braking or actually only happen when you brake. If so then it's the ABS. Sounds screwy but it's true. I had to have an axle replaced because of this. It's like a gear or sensorbroke or something to that effect.
If it is doing it all of the time not for sure. Make sure it is not under the hood.

It dosent have anything to do with the breaks. Its a constent clicking coming from in or somewhere right near the fan blower motor under the passanger side dash. It only stops if i put the climate control on recirculate, any other setting makes it click. It even clicks when i turn **** to off. I dont know how to get the fanblower cover off to check it...Although the fan itself runs fine. Please Someone Help...
My girlfriend has a 2003 Cavalier and it just started doing the same thing, its very annoying. Sounds like the fresh air flap is opening and closing instead of staying in place. Would like to know how to fix this as well. Is the ventilation system vacuum operated? Or is this a mechanical link?
ok i got it fixed. I took it to a local mechanic and he found that the Blend Door Actuator was sticking and had to be replaced. He said it would be a $700 job since they had to take out the dash to fix it. So i took it back to the dealership even though the warrenty was up and had them look at it. It costed $200 there and only took half an hour :-)
