Hey everyone, its my first post here and hopefully the first of a lot.
My neighbor is looking to sell hes '92 Cavalier Z24. The only problem with it is the alternator which is dead but he said if i was to buy it he would change it before and leave it to me for $400 (which i already have.) The car is super clean, it looks almost new and he said it runs very well. But before i even think about buying it i want to know if its a reliable car and if it gets good mileage (for a V6) which are my top concerns.

 

$400 is a steal. They are pretty good cars.....check the lower intake valleys for an oil leak.....thats a common\costly repair

 

The car looks in great shape, just gave it a quick peek under the hood, didint have time to really check it out. I'll probably gonna get it checked before i buy it though.
