Hey guys,

Im turning a 95 cavalier z24 into a stock car for oval racing in a bone stock series. I had a few questions maybe you guys could help me out with. I removed the air bags but what causes the car to shut off when your in a collision and how do I disable this from happening? Also my car is equipped with ac. I removed the condenser and all the piping for the AC. I have just the ac compressor with the belt around it with nothing hooked up to this. Would this take any power from the engine? If so, how do I remove it? I dont see how a belt would work with that pully removed? Maybe their is an idler bracket?

I don't know about your questions but on my v8 dirt stock car i left the ac condenser coil in the car and hooked the heater core hoses to that for extra cooling because of the extra heat developed during the race. It knocked 15 degrees off the hottest side, also protected the radiator from dirt and bumpers. Its cheaper to replace than a radiator and can be quickly by passed also.
