Just had a few questions.. Does anyone know what the 3 hooks/boxes on the rear dash are for? They seem like stock parts, but the previous owner must have spray painted them white because it's starting to flake off?
And secondly, no idea what the orange switch/button does thats to the lower left of the steering wheel.. It shines orange when switched on, but nothing seems to happen..

Welcome to the forum. I don't drive a Cavalier but the soft copy owner's manual is available at Chevrolet Owner Manuals - Factory Warranty, features and options, and maintenance explained. If the answers aren't in there, perhaps post a picture of what you're looking at?

 

the hooks are baby sseat hook for straping in the baby the switch should be for your 4 ways but if nothing is happaning mabye the fuse is blowen?

 

the button near the stearing wheel is your fog lights. you dont see anything happen unless its dark or your outside of your car looking at it.
