I have a 96 cavalier that had a gas leak. I was able to find the
leak it was at the top of a hose going into a metal line(in the
front near the motor not near the tank or fuel filter). I cut off
the bad off the rubber hose and got the hose back into the
conection but when i tryed starting it the hose just blew
right out due to the gas pressure. I cant find out if i need a
special hose that will lock into the metal conection or some
kind of adapter I have looked all over the internet an been
to a few auto store an no luck so far. Any help is greatly appreciated

If the hose is old and it has already failed, replace it. Get new hose and make sure it is rated for fuel injected cars and use hose clamps on both ends.
