I recently bought a 97 Cavalier 2.2 4 door. and they said they thought the fuel pump was out of it because it kept starting would run for 1-3 seconds then die like the theft sytem problem they had in 97 and i had an extra 97 fuel pump so i put it in for the hell of it and its still doing the same thing. But none of the dash lights work? and when i check the codes it shows P1601 - Powertrain - Manufacturer Controlled DTC - Manufacturer Controlled.... and....P1621 -Theft Deterrent Start Enable Signal Not Received/Theft Deterrent Fuel Enable Signal Not Recieved...so do you think i should try and Get a different PCM? or Ignition Switch? i already did the Theft system reset to no avail..
