All of a sudden front drivers side dropped down and started to rub on my tire

I’ve got a 2001 Chevy caviler. One day I was just casually driving and heard a clunk noise and the front drivers side started to sag a ridiculous amount. It dropped so much that the fender was rubbing in the tire and i had to pull over instantly. Just from me pulling over it tore a 1inch thickness around the whole tire of rubber off down to the bead I have beads hanging off from the tire. I got new struts for it 6 months ago. All the suspension components look to be fine. I can’t see anything bent or broken. The only thing I can notice is that the CV axle boot is all twisted. Looks like maybe a cv axle snapped but I don’t think a cv axle would cause that side of the car to drop enough to rub the tire down to the bead in that short amount of time. If anything I would think I snapped a strut or my shock but the spring and the strut looks in good condition. Anyone have any clues I need to get back on the road thank you!

Welcome from Florida. Post a picture of the problem. It is hard to to tell without actually seeing it. You can compare the bad side to the good side to see what the differences are
