Default Parts

I have a 92 Chevrolet k3500 single rear wheel standard cab pickup. I have a bad drivers lower control arm, so far I have had no luck of finding anything new. Would be great to find new ones with bushings and ball joints but i figired that was a little far fetched. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks for any help!

Yeah, I've tried just about all parts stores and online stores that I'm aware of. All have them for 2wd, just nothing for 4x4.

Haven't looked them.over close enough but I doubt it. 2wd trucks are coil spring trucks with a pocket for the coil, 4wd are torsion bar setups. I'm definitely no expert on these year trucks this being the first one I've owned but I'd guess no, not the same part. I've restored several squarebodys and I am alot more comfortable with those.just always liked the look of the 88-98 trucks and seen this one sitting so I pulled the trigger and took a chance on it.

What about the LCA is “bad”? Is it bent/rusted out/etc?

I only ask because the bushings and ball joints are replaceable without needing a complete arm, so if you’re just looking for a LCA with bushings and ball joint already installed, you may just need to get them separately.

If it needs replacing for other reasons, a salvage yard is probably your best bet.

EDIT: You can also try calling a dealer and ask them to check national inventory - they’re few and far between, but some parts for these older trucks are still in stock at some dealers for various reasons.

If nothing else, ask them for a current GM part number so you can use that to search.
