automatic shifter handle cracking

Hi their I have a 01 cav with a T handle automatice shifter ****. The material is starting to crack at the base of the handle i was wondering how do i get it off so i can put a new one on. I cant find any set screws is it pressed on or something any feed back would be appreciated

My 02 did that also. On the front side near the base of the handle there is a "staple" looking wire. I used a tiny screw driver to pry it out and the handle slid right off. Five minute with a break replacement with a difficulty level of -1.

Go for it.
