2003 Cavalier 5 speed manual.

What is the round part that right after the clutch master cylinder? I have talked to 2 different GM dealerships and they don't even show it on the any schematics they have.

Do I even need it? It is broken and needs replaced but I can find out what it is or where to get one.

Thanks

Where do the 2 long lines go to?

How is it broken?

And, are you the original owner?

It looks like the black part is the clutch master cylinder removed from the firewall. I see no fluid reservoir, is it using the power steering as a reservoir and/or booster? Did the clutch feel different with the engine running vs not running?
