Default Cavalier 2004 cooling fan stays on all the time

The cooling fan on my vehicle stays on even when is cold, any idea of what is wrong? I check the fuse box and all fuses are ok, wonder if the relay has anything to do with this issue.

You can pluck the relay out see if it turns off the fan. If it does either something is turning on the relay, or the contacts are welded together.

Can this issue set a trouble code?, I have not checked it with the scanner

Only thing I could think of is if the sensor is shorted, that would explain the fan on all the time, a code, I doubt it.

doesn't mean the relay isnt stuck in the closed position, swap it out or try tapping on it and see if the fan stops. You don't have the a/c or defrost running do you? Other wise theres a short somewhere in the circuit or your temp sensor is bad
