Default Cavalier transmission

Hello I have a 97 Chevy cavalier with 2.2 efi motor and a 3 speed auto transmission will that grand bolt up to a 98 Chevy cavalier 2.2 sfi motor it has the 3 speed trans in it as well I noticed that the transmission dip stick is not the same so I was not shore if it could be swapped

Looks like 96-97 were the same, 1998 is on its own, so it will bolt up but you may have other things different like no egr valve or missing crank sensor hole etc.
Trans was the same from 1996-2002 so it will bolt up to all those years with 3spd 2.2L

Not sure if your swapping trans or motor? if trans all is good, if motor not so much.

Yeah I'm just trying to swap the trans I know the motors wilt swap and everything I read say that the trans will swap but there are little differences in the so it made me unshore

Just make sure the one you are putting in is a 3 spd and that it did not come out of a cav with a 2.4L they may be the same but i sis not look that up.
