Hello, I just bought a 91 Cavalier RS, and the check gauge light on the dash is on. The oil gauge reads zero.
Any clues about this?

 

look in the chiltons manual to see where the oil presher guage is pluged into the top of the moter and see if its boken anywhere that would be why the check light is on or should be at least.

 

I do believe that the oil pressure sending unit is at fault, but I don`t have the proper socket to remove/replace it.
I took the electric connection from the unit and found oil throughout the unit which would indicate a leak, so I now need the proper tool to remove the faulty unit/sender.
