Headlight bulb question
The stock headlights on my '05 Cavalier have always seemed dim, and now even running on high beam causes no one to flash me and I can't see **** at night. I saw the LED conversions offered, but there is a thread on here about them causing problems, so I think I'd prefer whatever the brightest Xenon or conventional-type bulbs available might be. Would certainly appreciate any helpful comments!
Hi Bill.
First, check your grounding block. Mine was next to my air filter.
otherwise I went with the Sylvannia Ultra Star, sure worked for me.
Afrer you install them, I’d pull the Cav up to a garage door or a wall and see if the headlight alignment is correct.

Hi Bill. I’d also recommend dielectric grease for the connections. Most auto parts stores sell a small packet of “bulb grease” They keep it behind the counter so you have to ask for it. Essential to keep your connection from corrosion. Be generous with it inside the connection. Wipe off off the outer part of the connection, the grease isn’t needed there. Best wishes.
