My muffler hanger strap rusted and snapped about two months ago. Currently, i dont want to buy a new strap until i get the money for it. I tried using safety wire to hang the muffler, but due to the high heat and vibrations, it snapped too. I want to know if there is something i can use to hang my muffler without spending money. 2001 Chevrolet Cavalier i4 2.2l OHV 115hp

 

I think the strap and hanger are under $20.00 at any parts store.

 

It really depends on your budget.. It shouldn't cost a whole lot to replace i have a strap on my muffler too, not sure of the material but if you can get something that comes close to it you can Mac it!
