I've got a 2003 Cav and my **** for adjust where the air is routed (floor, passenger, both, defrost) does not want to turn. It is at passenger now and when I turn it right to use the defrost, I can turn it but when I let go it springs back to passenger selection. Basically I can now turn it anywhere past passenger to the right. With winter coming, I need the defrost. Any suggestions? I am not mechanically inclined so any I can do without tearing up my dash would be great. Thanks in advanced!!

 

gonna have to rip open that dash, sounds to me like there is something stuck in there and thats whats making it spring back
