Default Red Battery light on dash

02 Cav, 160K (not DOHC) - The red batt light on the instrument display has been coming on, and going off after a short while, for a few years now. I replaced the alt last year and it stopped doing it for a while but now it's doing it again. Battery is always fully charged. Car starts and runs fine. I cleaned the batt-to-starter ground wire. Are there any other grounds that should be cleaned? Any thoughts as to the cause of this anomaly?

How old is the battery? Take the battery in to have it tested. Check both battery cables at both ends for corrosion and looseness.
