Its Empty wheen its on E, you wont go nowhere

When the needle is on red, that means u have a certain
amount of gas left before the needle hits E

Riding it on the red is a good way to kill the fuel pump. These electrical pumps are cooled and even lubricated by gasoline. Too little fuel in tank means it runs dry every now and then (unless you run on ideal surface at steady speed without turns).

I have two Cavaliers, 2003 does 30 MPG or better and 2004 does easily 34. For my life I cannot figure out what is causing that difference. Gotta be different software in ECU.

wow that is a pretty sizeable diference. thats a little more than 10% same engine and tranny configurations? maybe spark plugs are better and gapped different in the one. or possibly you are right and the computer is a little different. maybe sensors are adjusted a little differently from the factory or something that is deffinetly a difference though.
