I was thinking about putting side exhaust on my 1997 cavalier.. is there everything i need to watch out for if i decide i wanna put new exhaust on ?
just ordered new headers from summit racing.. this is my first car and i dont wanna make it a ricer rocket but i wanna make it sound all ! dont want
a quiet car lol

 

what motor have you got? you said "headers" so it must be a v6. any performance exhaust sounds good on a v6 "for a cavy" . if its a 4cylender and the "s" was a type error. i have not heard of an exhaust that sounds good. 5-speed's are OK, but auto's really whine. as for side pipes? leave em for the muscle and rods.

 

Hmm, well now that I think about it that would be awesome. Do you know a place to get some or are you going to have a custom place do it, are you going to do it yourself? It might be kind of spendy but I do gotta say that I love the Cavaliers and would love to see that so if you decide to please post some pictures.
