Ticking Noise on Passenger Side
Hello everyone!
I'm new to the forum, so I thought I'd say "hi" by asking my first question
I have an '04 LS Sport Cavalier, auto transmission. Whenever I put the climate controls on anything other than the recirc setting (far left), a loud ticking noise emanates from under the dashboard (I think mostly on the passenger side). It doesn't matter if the fan is on or off, the loud ticking continues. If I put the climate control switch in the recirc position, the noise stops. It seems like it started happening when it got cooler outside. Sometimes if you switch it from recirc to another setting the noise will not start - I'm not sure if this happens because the car gets warmer, or if there's a spinning part getting caught (and ticking) and I get lucky and it's not getting caught at that moment.
I've read a lot about blend door motors/actuators. Could this be the issue? If so, is this a difficult fix?
Thanks!
Chris
