Default Turn Signal issue

I had a problem a few weeks ago where both turn signals acted funny, the length of the flash would slow down and speed up at randomn. It acted as though it was low on battery power lol. Then they stopped working altogether.

I turned them on and nothing. No lights inside or outside no sound. Flashers and break light worked fine, then a few hours later they went back to the funny initial issue.

They have now stopped working again.

The fuse is fine, and I went to the parts store and bout a flasher, but when I replaced the flasher nothing changed. I think I may be replacing the hazard flasher. The one I am replacing is a little bigger thaqt a quarters round silver with two strait prongs that make a L shape. The sold me and electric replacement for ten bucks. When I removed the flasher the hazaRDS stopped working, no change for the turn signal though. When I put the new flasher in it makes no difference to either.

I know i am babbling, but wanted to give you all as much info as I can.

Probably the contacts in the multifunction switch lever are corroded.
