Vibrating at high speeds after re-gaping spark plugs
My car itself begins to really vibrate the gas pedal at around 45mph
Now here are the factors
- These are the same spark plugs
- New Wires were just installed (Properly)
- Engine doesn't idle rough or misfire (Runs normally)
- Spark plugs are in snug, definitely do not move or rattle
- Spark plugs are 4 years old and show signs of blistering and possibly oil getting on them.
- Spark plugs did not show any signs of damage after pulling them out.
- Spark plugs gapped to .40 according to the manual
Here were my issues with re-installing
- One of the spark plugs takes a lot of twists of the hand before becoming hand tight, afterwards a 1/8 turn is made and plug is in tight and can not be turned more, even with a wrench, no extreme force is applied for obvious reasons.
- The other plugs can get in so far before needing two hands to get it properly hand tight, then 1/8 turn is applied
Maybe I'm just being more observative to the vibrations in my car? I don't see anything like jumping rpms or anything. Accelerates like it always has. I have plans to get new plugs regardless, but it just concerns me that they all screw in differently, but seeing how they aren't really loose or anything, I don't assume I stripped the plug or cylinder head.
