Manual transmission won't let me do anything other than 3rd gear. So driving is difficult, and the closest repair shop said they didn't know.

What is this part, and where would I get a replacement?

 

not sure but has anyone mentioned anything about the lock out switch that will keep your car from knocking down from highway gear. if it is does your car stall at lights and have to drop it into gear and sprint from stop. right person can just open up side and change switch not real bad for wallet or can just disconnect it, poor gas mileage(little less), others think they have to drop tranny-not necessary
