Default Where is canister purge valve?

I need to replace my canister purge valve on a 1998 cavalier. I have the replacement part but I can't find the part. Can anyone help me locate this?

not sure which engine you have.
most purge valves have a hose that connects to the throttle body...follow the hose to a solenoid with a 2 wire connector.
what symptoms are you having that make you think the purge solenoid is faulty?

I have a check engine light P0442, already changed the fuel tank cap. No noticeable performance issues. It is a 2.2 liter. I have a diagram from parts store showing it is on the top of engine but I don't see it. I have replaced this part on other vehicles so I know what it looks like and I have the replacement part.

should be left of the throttle body and near the tps sensor. can't see it in your pics

if the purge doesn't fix it. I will walk you thru some testing.
