My 2004 Cavalier has an intermittent problem with the wipers. They take a notion to just stop during use. If I turn them off and back on they take off again and may not have a problem again for an hour or two. Then they stop and so on.....Why????

 

Not sure about your car. But some cars have a built in system that stops the window wipers automatically when they feel too much resistance, going over the windows.
