Z 24 Trans leak
My 2002 2.4 auto Z-24 started leaking trans fluid from the passenger side output shaft. Got a new seal, its the type with a new wear sleeve you push onto the drive shaft, and put it in. Couple hundred miles its leaking again. Okay I must not of had every thing square. Did it again. Same result. Took it to a neighbors small shop who has a lift, figured it was a assembly issue. He changed it out and noticed a crack in a cv boot so put a rebuilt halfshaft in it too. It held for one trip and is leaking again! It doesn't feel like there is any play in the out put bearing and I have cleaned the vent cap. It drives great, no vibrations or other symptoms. Not a small leak will leave a foot around circle on concrete. Right now I'm at a loss for what to do. Nice little car. Any Ideas?
there is a special installation tool used to install the sleeve to the correct depth and a seal driver to install the seal to the correct depth.
if the leak between the sleeve and seal lip or trans case and steel part of the seal?
