1960 ElCo
Hey guys, hoping someone can lend a hand. I just bought a truck recently restored out of Oregon that came with a really nice, full bolt on 350 small block. My goal for the truck is to get 500-550hp to the wheels, whether keeping this small block or if absolutely necessary, swapping out to a big block. My question is, can this existing sb make a reliable 500hp+ through forced induction/supercharging, or other means?
This is my 3rd ElCo but I haven't had a Chevy powerplant for 20 years, so I'm unfamiliar with what's possible nowadays with the 350 sb. The motor is basically brand new with 272 cam, headers, magnaflow exhaust, Edelbrock manifold, Holley 4-barrel, etc so I hate to do a swap on it unless needed to meet my goal.
Thanks much in advance, here's a few pics of the truck.
