I am trying to install a 1992 454 Chevy motor in my 1970 El Camino. I am running in trouble with my water pump. I want to use a v-belt system instead of a serpentine system. the V-belt system uses a clockwise water pump while the serpentine system uses a reverse water pump. Does anyone know if i can use an older model water pump on the 1992 Engine.

 

i dont know the answer to your question, but is there a reaosn why you dont want the serpentine system? it is worth more power then the v-belt
