I have takin on my dads old project car and the 327 he built has no threads in the crankshaft to secure the harmonic balancer. I've never seen this before. Is this something I should be worried about? I really don't feel like losing a harmonic balancer one day.

The car is a 64 el camino

 

Drill it tapit and put a bolt init . You'll be good to go ...........rick
