1980 Chevy 350 no oil movement
Ok guys this is my first thread and I need help I am fairly familiar with the Chevy small blocks but I have a 350 hasn’t ran in 20 years and I got it running about 4 months ago now I hooked up a mechanical oil psi gauge so I know the oil is moving but I started it it ran so I changed the oil and a piece of poly or plastic came out of the oil pan I put the new oil in new filter but no oil movement at all I ran the engine for 30 seconds seen no oil in the line so I pulled off my filter and it was dry as a bone does it have something to do with my sump?
you need pull the distrib inspect that if everything looks fine then drop the pain and see what else is messed up. i dont see what the bushing does if the oil pump froze up or something then the i would think the bushing would pretty much automatically break as soon as the shaft bends or breaks
