Can't get 3 speed Chev 2500 into gear
I stopped and then could not get stick shift to go into gear unless I turned off the motor. Then when I cranked the motor it was in gear and would not come out unless I shut the motor off? If I crank the motor and had it in neutral I could not get it to go into any gear!!!Stranded out in West Texas...please advise if anyone knows what happed? This is a 3 speed manual with 4 wheel drive. I have tried every conceivable thing to get it to go into gear.

I do not know. Some friend says he thinks it is the clutch also. All I know is that the clutch pedal is now sloppy and it won't go into gear when the engine is running but will allow the floor stick to go into gear when it is switched off?
