Default Fuel hose vs metal line?

Hello All,

So in addition to rebuilding my carburetor, I am also replacing the entire fuel system, From the fill ports forward.

My question is: should I replace the original bent metal tubing, with a direct replacement, or with fuel hose? Obviously fuel hose would be both cheaper and easier to run, but will it effect performance?

Has anyone here ever done this or seen it done?

As usual any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thank you

it won't effect performance to run rubber line. make sure its the correct ID. if you go this way use fuel line hose clamps vs the regular gear clamp. They fuel line for carb and one for fuel injected.
