Default Help Identify Please

I bought this 1973 Chevy C20 for a few hundred dollars and there are some issues with it that Im trying to figure out. Can someone help to identify that cut hose there, my guess was it had something to do with air conditioning and there is a bracket where a compressor may have sat at one time but there is no compressor there now. Any help in figuring out what that hose is and how to deal with it would be much appreciated.
